Music & Audio

Tadanori Yokoo – Soundtrack

I created an audio track as a response for a poster by Japanese artist Tadanori Yokoo in 2009 as part of a Visual Music Collaboration working with Nora Krug and Ernesto Klar at Parsons.

This is the image that I was given to respond to.

Here is the audio.

Audio Portrait of North Brooklyn

This project was concerned with exploring the concept of alternate cartography; specifically audio. I curated field recordings and interviews around the Neighborhoods of Williamsburg, Greenpoint, and Bushwick in northern Brooklyn. I then created a “portrait” of the three neighborhoods be assembling the audio into a montage of the audio that takes the listener through the neighborhoods.

Mannahatta – the Game

User Scenario Video – Edited with Erica Osher

Parsons developed an iPhone game based on the Mannahatta Project by Dr. Eric Sanderson at the Wildlife Conservation Society. I helped to design the initial prototype of the game with Katrina Bekessy, Mike Edwards and Kyle Lee working under the direction of Colleen Macklin at Parsons.

I also directed and produced this user-scenario video to promote the game and produced the music and audio for the video.

Visual Music Collab

This project was a collaboration with an amazing composer named Mark Limacher at the New School Jazz Department. It was titled “Waning Industry”. This was a meditation about Death, Afterlife, and Rebirth. The aesthetic of the piece was concerned with industrial decay and the beauty of detritus.
